Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity welcomed Tucson, Arizona San Miguel High School Seniors for a visit to Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. San Miguel High School, a Lasallian, Catholic learning community, empowers youth from underserved families through the integration of Christian values, rigorous academics and practical work experience, educating the whole student for college, career and a fulfilling life. After leaving the Motherhouse, the young women were asked: How can the Sisters be a support for you in the future? We share their responses. How can the Sisters be a support for you in the future?

  • I would love to keep in contact with them to continue to learn more and ask questions if they come up.
  • Sisters can be a support for me in the future by providing me with more wisdom, advice, and opportunities to explore the life of a sister a little bit more.
  • The Sisters can be a support for me in the future through their support and guidance if my vocation ever does end up in the role of a sister.
  • Continuing to be in contact.
  • I genuinely did enjoy the mini retreat at the motherhouse The way that I feel the sisters can support me in the future is maybe creating more events like this. I got an insight of what it’s like to live our lives as a sister and I enjoyed that very much.
  • I think that the Sisters can be a support for me in the future as guidance in what I am meant to do. On our way to the airport, I had a conversation with Sister Catherine Peter and she told me a bit about her life becoming a Sister and it helped me learn more about what it is like. It’s not all as simple as it seems.
