During the winter semester break Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Novices enjoyed mission experiences in the western part of the United States. Sister Concepcion served among the Gila River Indian Community with our Sisters at St. Peter Indian Mission, Bapchule, Arizona. She helped the Sisters prepare for the arrival of the Badger Catholics from University of Wisconsin Madison St. Paul Newman Center. An extra pair of hands was also welcome as the teachers and students moved into new classrooms leaving modular units for a more permanent structure. Sister Concepcion also was interviewed by Sister Elena and Sister Pamela Catherine on their Franciscan Moment Podcast and met puppet Sister Alonza.

Sister Maria Guadalupe was also in Arizona. She joined our Sisters at Immaculate Conception Convent, Yuma, Arizona. In addition to taking part in all the ministries of the Sisters, she discovered a a family friend living in this area. It was a meaningful time allowing for seeing the goodness of the people in the Yuma area.
