Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity recently celebrated the Perpetual Profession of Sister Mary Teresa Bettag in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. We share here coverage of the event from the Diocese of Tucson.

Sister Mary Teresa Bettag professed her final vows in the Congregation of Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity on July 16, 2023 at a celebration at Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc, WI.

“July 16th was overwhelming,” Sr. Mary Teresa shared. “As I prayed that morning, I was just overwhelmed by the fact that the Lord called ME! As guests started arriving, I was overwhelmed all over again at the show of love and support from all kinds of family and friends – even some from Yuma who traveled all the way to our Motherhouse in Wisconsin to be present for the occasion. As big of a moment as it was, it wasn’t scary or difficult to come to the decision, because when I look back on my life it’s always been Him.”

Rev. Paul Fliss was the celebrant for the Eucharistic Liturgy at which time Sister Natalie Binversie, Community Director, received Sister Mary Teresa’s vows. Sister Mary Teresa’s parents, siblings, other family members, friends, and the Community of Franciscan Sisters witnessed the happy occasion.
