Recently, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity celebrated the 60th Jubilee of Sister Ann Mary Hart in Yuma, Arizona. We picked the day, because it was the original date the community was celebrating at the Motherhouse in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
A corsage was pinned on by Sister Lorita before we prayed evening prayer on Saturday, followed by Mass in Church where Fr. Timothy gave her a special blessing.
On Sunday we tried to replicate the Sunday breakfast normally provided for jubilarians at the Motherhouse.
We began with a little talk given by Sister Mary Beth, followed by the fruit cup in glasses, pecan caramel rolls by special request and bacon and eggs. Later in the day we enjoyed a special dinner together also. It was an enjoyable day and a way to make the day special.
