The students, teachers, Christian Brothers and administrators of San Miguel High School, Tucson, AZ participated in the annual Solidarity Pilgrimage with Migrants and Refugees on Sat. Sept 24, 2022. The pilgrimage originated at San Xavier Mission  where Sister Rosalyn, Sister Carla, Sister Marlita and Sister Mary Ann participated with the pilgrims in an opening prayer. Sister Mary Ann joined the 4 mile pilgrimage to San Miguel High School. Upon arrival the group spent the morning making 150 lunches to share with the migrant families.

Pope Francis writes in his 2022 Message For the 108th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, “God’s plan is essentially inclusive and gives priority to those living on the existential peripheries. Among them are many migrants and refugees, displaced persons, and victims of trafficking. The Kingdom of God is to be built with them, for without them it would not be the Kingdom that God wants.”

May we continue to work at including all who seek a place to be part of God’s Kingdom here on earth.
