San Xavier Mission, Tucson, Arizona, celebrated sixteen First Communions May 6, 2023. Youth ranged in age from 7-13. Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Rosalyn Muraski prepared the youngest group. Sister Carla Riach was able to participate in the celebration.
First Communion is when a person receives the body and blood of Jesus for the very first time. This is a very holy and significant event in the lives of the young people and their families. The Easter Season is a fitting time to gather together for this important day with other members of the parish. It is a time of joy and hope. Congratulations one and all!
