Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Hannah Johnecheck began with meetings on August 10 and on-line classes on August 17 at St. Francis School, Yuma, Arizona. It’s been a continuous journey of trying out new techniques and getting to know her students in a very different way. Trying to make it meaningful and helpful continues to the goal as the days go by. This week she will have a taste of morning school with some of her students and afternoon instruction with the other half of the class. Recess is still worked into this schedule.
Sister Mary Beth Kornely began work in the office on August 10. Administration needs are somewhat different, but there is ever activities for extra hands to accomplish projects.
Prayers and the grace of God provide the strength to hang in there until it is possible to move towards in-school teaching.
