Franciscan Sister Mary Beth Kornely shares on the Immaculate Conception Annual Dinner/Auction/Dance Fundraiser, Yuma, Arizona for the Religious Education Program.

Immaculate Conception had their Annual Dinner/Auction/Dance fundraiser for their CCD program. As in the past they asked us Sisters if we could contribute something for the auction. Sister Ann Mary’s pie of their choice went for $800 by a person who was not able to attend the actual event, but sent his check in ahead of time to be sure he got it. Sister Janet’s Pineapple Upside Down Cake went for $150.00. Sister Mary Beth’s Nativity Diamond Art also brought in a healthy amount.

In April, St. Francis School had their Benefit Dinner/Auction/Dance. Sister Mary Beth donated an afghan that went for $700. She had also entered the diamond art and afghan in the County Fair at the beginning of April. The diamond art got a purple champion rosette and a gold rosette. The afghan got a blue.

Sister Mary Beth was also asked to help judge the 4-H photography for the fair and help with the photography interviews. This was a great opportunity to connect with the children with one of their interests.
