Teacher Franciscan Sister Hannah Johnecheck tells about an exciting new venture of her second grade class.

One day in phonics class the Second Grade was  blending word sounds. We were  taking the word “point” and changing it into “joint”. Just then, one of the students said, “We could say ‘pjoint’.” I played on their fun and said, “Yes, and it could mean amazing, wonderful, great!” Ever since then, the Second Grade has had fun using the word pjoint. It was only fitting on the day of Catholic Schools Week when we celebrate students that we made t-shirts that reminded them they are pjoint!
