Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sister Mary Beth Kornely shares on some baking for Immaculate Conception Parish, Yuma, Arizona.
Our Yuma kitchen was busy today with lots of baking. We sisters entered our baking skills in the Immaculate Conception auction which took place on September 25. Mrs. Peach made a successful bid on Sister Ann Mary‘s excellent lemon meringue pie for $310 and again on Sister Mary Beth‘s pecan caramel rolls for $140. Since she is the owner of the Coronado Motor Hotel in Yuma she plans to share some of that with her housekeepers and maintenance people and some family members. What a delight to bake for something like that. Sister Janet also was successful at auctioning off cookies. Her recipient will be receiving those closer to the holidays.
