Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are present for today’s Episcopal Ordination in the Diocese of Tucson for Bishop-elect James A. Misko. He was appointed to the Diocese of Tucson on Monday, December 22, 2025, by our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. Bishop-elect Misko, 55, was ordained in June 2007 in the Diocese of Austin. Prior to his appointment Misko served as vicar general and moderator of the curia in his home diocese. He also governed the diocese in-between the episcopacies of Archbishop Joe S. Vásquez and Bishop Daniel E. Garcia.  Bishop-elect Misko will be the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Tucson. Watch the liturgy here.
