Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Martha Mary Carpenter recently celebrated her birthday with all her students at St. Peter Indian Mission, Bapchule, Arizona, virtually and parade style. Of course, no blizzard stopped the parade from happening in the midst of winter in the desert.

That morning, all students and staff from St. Peter Indian Mission joined a massive Zoom Meeting adding up to 100+ to sing and wish her a happy birthday. The internet co-operated to make this an interactive gift for everyone. The students were not only excited to see Sister but also to see one another on one large meeting! After school dismissed, Sister was surprised with the drive-by parade. Many children and families made the day very special for her. We pray that next year we will be able to celebrate in-person!
